Cinco de Mayo Extravaganza

On Friday, May 4th, we'll be celebrating Cinco de Mayo during the First Friday art exhibit openings at the Main Library with free salsa dance lessons and live music.  Come shake it up with Orquesta Tropikiimba and a whole lotta salsa! 

Come out and dance to the Caribbean grooves of The Salsa Youth Orchestra & Orquesta Tropikiimba. Enjoy free live Latin-American music, including  Afro-Cuban Salsa, Timba, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Danzon, Merengue, Bachata, and more! You can't beat a free, family-friendly party like this one. Here's the evening's schedule lineup:
6:00 to 7:00   Dance Lesson with Edwin Roa from Zabor Dance 
7:00   Introduction to Cuban Music, a discussion with Dr. Mike Davison
7:10   Performance by Salsa Youth Orchestra
8:00 to 9:00    Performance by Orquesta Tropikiimba
