Memoir Writing Workshop

When we put our lives under thoughtful scrutiny, we connect with our inner life and our source of creative energy. When we share our stories from the past with others, we share our wisdom and that interaction enhances our potential for new insights and self-discovery. Through our writings we leave those we love an invaluable record of our life's passage and shed light on who we are, not only as a parent, but as a human being.

So how do we turn those memories into memoirs?

Join us for "LIVING TO TELL THE TALE: WRITING YOUR MEMOIRS" on Wednesdays between June 20th and July 25th. The workshop will run from 2:00 to 3:30 each Wednesday and will be held in the Main Library. In this class, Kirsten Taranto (B.A. in English Language and Lit. and Master's degree in Counseling and Development) will lead you step-by-step through writing your personal and family history and will help guide you to remember the details of stories you want to tell.

Students must call (804) 646-7223 to register.
